NNUH opens Electrophysiology Suite

A state-of-the-art new cardiac electrophysiology suite, part-funded by the trust, has opened at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
Our Sparks4Hearts campaign has raised more than than £400,000 for the centres, which treats potentially life-threatening heart rhythm disorders through a procedure known as electrophysiology (EP).

During the ceremony Dr Iain Brooksby, chairman of the Norfolk Heart Trust, said that the new equipment will significantly benefit cardiac disease sufferers throughout the Norfolk region.

“I’m absolutely sure that this will help save lives," he added. "I think there are two things of life - quantity of life and quality. It will also significantly improve the quality of life for people who suffer from various electric problems with the heart.”
